Creative Corners Preschool is designed to gently prepare your child for future educational encounters. Children are introduced to the lively, limitless world around them in weekly study units that include colors, shapes and letters. Art, music, large and small motor development and imaginative play are included in the curriculum. Each class meets twice a week for nine months. Children must be three or four years old by September 1. In order to keep the cost of this class reasonable, we ask that each parent volunteer in the classroom periodically. Parents will provide a snack and drink on their assigned day. Children must be toilet trained. No diapers or pull-ups please!

Creative Corners Preschool Directors

Ms. Margaret Nuscher is beginning her 7th year as director of the Fabulous 4's & 5's preschool program and brings more than 19 years of preschool teaching experience to the Park District, most recently having created and taught some of the early childhood programs here with the Des Plaines Park District. Ms. Nuscher enjoys developing hands-on activities that help children explore their world while preparing them for their formal school years. She believes in providing a print-rich environment that promotes a love for looking at books, learning to read, and also making dramatic play centers to add extra fun to the monthly themes. Ms. Nuscher holds a bachelor's degree in Music Education from McPherson College. She has enjoyed living in Des Plaines with her family for the past 17 years.
Mrs. Kelly Roback is beginning her second year as the Creative Corners Terrific 3’s Director. Mrs. Roback brings more than 14 years of teaching experience including working with children with various types of disabilities. Her biggest joy is watching preschoolers experience the world around them. Her main goal of the Terrific 3’s program is to make the children’s first school experience a positive one. Through books, songs, games and hands-on experiences, these children will see that learning is fun! Mrs. Roback attended District 62 and District 207 schools and is a graduate of Loyola University Chicago with an Education degree. She lives in Des Plaines with her husband and four children.
