Special Hours and Events:
• Aquatic Employee Appreciation Event: Pool will close to public at 6:00p on Friday, August 1st

• *Private Rental: The pool will close at 6:00p on Saturday and Sunday nights
• ^H20 Night: Pool will close to public at 5:30p on June 20, registration required
• Carnival Fun Fair, July 26th from 10:00-12:00p
• Lap Swim will be Mon-Fri 7:00-9:30a, Sat-Sun 9:00-11:30a- Pool Pass required for lap swim.
Saturday, August 16-Friday, August 26 lap swim hours will change to Mon-Fri 5:30a-10:00a, Sat-Sun 8:00a-11:30a due to PLAC Annual Shutdown

Outdoor Pool Admission Fees
Cash and credit/debit cards are accepted at Arndt Pool and Chippewa Pool (Visa, MasterCard, Discover).
Admission to Arndt Pool and Chippewa Pool is included in the Mystic Waters Pool Pass.
Arndt and Chippewa Pool Pass Holders receive $1 off the Mystic Waters fee.
Admission to all outdoor pools is free for children 2 years old and younger.
Des Plaines residents must show a valid ID to pay the resident fee.

Features
Arndt Park Pool features a stairway entry into a 3ft shallow end which transitions to 6 lanes of lap or leisure space, schedule dependent, and a 12ft deep end highlighted by both a one-meter and three-meter diving boards. The pool has an ADA lift for those who require assistance entering and leaving the water. On the deck, there is a large shade structure, benches, picnic tables, and lounge chairs. Two family changing rooms are available, as well as men’s and women’s locker room facilities. Locks are not provided but are for sale at the admissions booth. Concessions are also available at the admissions booth. Soda and water, healthy snacks, and ice cream are available for purchase. All food must be enjoyed in the covered picnic area. Free life jackets are available for use, poolside (first come, first served).
Important Information About Weather-Related Pool Openings and Closings
• Weather-driven changes and attendance are assessed throughout the day and the status of whether the pools remain open is always at the discretion of the pool manager. We typically close an outdoor pool early when attendance is low. We also close when the temperature drops low for the rest of the day. Refunds are not issued for these closures.
• Check the DPParks app, under Conditions, to see the current open/closed status. Download the app here.
• To help determine changes to outdoor pool openings and closings when the weather is cool or inclement, park district and pool staff use local apps including Weather.com, Weather Bug, and Weather Underground.
• For the safety of our guests and staff, we temporarily close an outdoor pool when the ThorGuard Lightening Detection System sounds a warning, or when thunder is heard, or when lightning is spotted. Weather conditions are then reevaluated every 45–60 minutes. We open again as soon as the pool manager determines that it is safe to do so. We do not issue rain checks.
