ARNDT PARK POOL & PARK RENOVATIONS

The Des Plaines Park District is proud to announce we were awarded $7M dollars from the Build Illinois Grant Program through the Illinois Department of Natural Resources for expenses for this project. We will be again working with Cordogan Clark & Associates as our architects on this project and look forward to offering this full park renovation to the Des Plaines Community!

As of August 27, Arndt Park construction project is experiencing unforeseen delays with supply chain, labor force and at this time. We regret to inform you that we will not be able to open as originally scheduled for late Summer 2023. The Des Plaines Park District understands the excitement around this wonderful addition to the community but making sure the end product is not rushed and making sure it is safe for the public is the most important. Our team has been actively working to bring this $10M community pool and park renovation to life this August. Construction is ongoing and as sections are completed, we will slowly open areas once they are safe for public use. This project consists of a $7M Grant and reserves from the Park District’s Capital Projects Fund. No special tax increase for this project. Mark your calendars for the Grand Opening of Arndt Park Pool which will be held Memorial Day Weekend 2024. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and support. In the meantime, check out the work that has been completed during the last 10 months of construction. We are excited for its opening!
