PARK DISTRICT ICE SKATING RINKS
Please check our app for updates on ice rinks!
- The Park District provides unsupervised ice skating at four neighborhood parks daily until 10:00p, if conditions permit.
- Recreational ice skating takes precedence over hockey playing. Skaters and Players: please be considerate and share the ice.
- We ask that all skaters be considerate of our neighbors during evening hours.
- After a snowfall, please wait until our crew works to clear the ice to make it safe for skating.
- You assume the full risk and responsibility for determining that all conditions are safe for ice skating and sledding, including ice hockey and similar activities, and you further assume all risk and responsibility for any injury resulting from using any unsupervised ice skating areas.

ICE MAKING CONDITIONS
If you have questions about the conditions, please call 847-391-5744.
We need several days below-freezing temperatures to fill the rinks and make and maintain reasonable, smooth ice.
Ice rinks are installed in these parks when the weather turns cold enough.
Our crew works in the early morning to make ice at the four outdoor rinks.
